Starting in Windows Vista, Quick Time preferences no longer include configurable MIME settings for the browser plugin; only file extensions associated with the Quick Time application can be changed.

The MIME types selected will be listed under the Quick Time plugin in about:plugins and both downloaded files and embedded content with those MIME types will be handled by the Quick Time plugin.

After updating to the newest Quicktime/i Tunes version and re-locating the SQLite3(as per Apple' forum) to the new i Tunes directory in order to prevent an error at start-up (with i Tunes), I started to experience this problem with AE after running the application.

Eventually, it does run well,(apparently) but I am unable to export MOV files no more.

Apple's patch notes specify only that, "Quick Time 7.7.4 improves security and is recommended for all Quick Time 7 users on Windows." Users are directed to Apple's security updates page for more information, but this release has yet to be added to that page as of this writing.
